I just got Nexenta up and running, and it was pretty painless. So far it seems like it will do everything I want, however I would like to know if there is a way to specifically choose NICs to serve out iSCSI on.

To be specific here is the plan:

My VMCluster recognizes the data store that I have currently setup via iSCSI. I have a total of 4 NICs in the system. I want to take 3 of those NICs and use them only for iSCSI, and the 4th would be for management. I want to do this because I don't want to run into any problems with packet collisions with iSCSI on my network. The 3 NICs that I want to use are plugged into a switch that doesn't receive any traffic from our general network. It is separated by a VLAN. The only other thing that is on this switch is another storage shelf that is running via ATA over Ethernet.

Is this possible? Should I worry about packet collisions with iSCSI on a general network?

Thanks
