The NexentaStor Enterprise certified partner program enables storage users to purchase NexentaStor™ based solutions, including software, hardware, and support from the solution providers they know and trust. Here are a few of the benefits of becoming a NexentaStor Enterprise certified partner:
Margin: The hardware resale and systems integration business is extremely competitive. Neither the legacy storage business nor the x86 server business are high margin businesses. Nexenta partners that build total solutions based upon NexentaStor and work with Nexenta to provide integrated support report that their average contribution from customers increases dramatically once they become Nexenta partners. Remember, Nexenta does NOT sell hardware so you share none of your hardware revenues with Nexenta.
Differentiation: One reason that the legacy storage and x86 markets are low margin is customers perceive there to be relatively little differentiation amongst most channel providers. Server and storage makers have worked extremely hard to standardize their offerings completely. They must do so since they are in the hardware business and standardization is the only way to achieve scale. Nexenta is in the software business. We provide our partners with a tremendously flexible solution that can be configured, with hardware and services, to address a very broad range of use cases from extremely high performance through SMB with managed backup services. And we provide our partners with the tool kits and
open source community necessary to even extend NexentaStor itself via custom plug-ins.

The primary obligations of Nexenta Certified solution providers are as follows:
Certification of solutions that include NexentaStor™: Partners provide to Nexenta Systems proof that they have certified their solutions work well with NexentaStor™. Ask your Nexenta representative for information about the availability of a Nexenta approved testing suite for use in certifying your solutions.
Level 1 support services: Certified Solution providers are the primary owners of their customer relationships. As such, they are the first point of contact for Silver Edition customers and must be available to meet Gold Edition SLAs should they choose to resell Gold Edition licenses. Maintenance of a support environment for Certified Edition: In order to deliver Level 1 support services and to facilitate collaboration between Nexenta Systems and each partner, the partner should make remotely available to Nexenta reference implementations of their certified solution.
Exclusive support of NexentaStor™ Enterprise Edition: Certified Solution providers are responsible for insuring that they are only providing Enterprise Edition licenses to their customers and that they are only supporting Enterprise Edition licenses.
Sales and marketing and service: Nexenta conducts ongoing joint marketing efforts with partners including jointly funding shows and marketing efforts.
Training: All NexentaStor partners will complete training. This training will be delivered either by Nexenta or by a Nexenta value added distributor.
